Description

The gatepiers with gate, located south-east of the entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St James the Great, date from the early 19th century. They are made of red sandstone ashlar and feature octagonal gatepiers that rise in two and three stages, topped with moulded caps. The gate itself is from the mid-19th century and is constructed of cast iron, complete with an arched lantern bracket above.
