Description

Half Yard is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the early 20th century. The building is rendered over cob and has a slate roof, featuring a "U"-shaped plan with two gabled wings at the rear, each containing a large external stack in the center. It is two stories tall and has three bays. The first floor has two and three-light casement windows, and there is a cantilevered porch supported by console brackets. Inside, the hall is located to the right of the cross passage and includes an open fireplace on the cross passage wall, along with a hollow chamfered beam and a six-compartment ceiling.
