Description
Knight's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with an enlargement from the 18th century. It is constructed of cob and random rubble, rendered, with a slate roof and stone stacks on both the left and right of the center, while the right gable end is brick. The layout consists of two cells with a cross passage, and there is an addition to the right, which is fronted by a gabled projection that may have been an earlier dwelling. The building is two stories high with irregularly placed windows. The left side features a single-story porch from the 17th century, which has a four-centered arch doorway and a catslide roof. The right gabled projection is two stories with two bays, containing two and three-light casements, and a one-bay projection to the right with a two-light casement and a catslide roof. The first floor behind the gabled projection has a two-light casement. Inside, the left-hand room of the cross passage has a modern grate and a large depressed arch opening to the left, with chamfered beams featuring stops arranged in a row to the right.
