Description

Knapp Cottage and the attached barn date from the early 17th century and are constructed with red sandstone random rubble masonry. They feature a thatched roof with a gablet at the barn end and a brick stack on the right. The structure consists of a barn and a two-cell dwelling under one roof, with one and a half storeys and three bays. The cottage has a two-light dormer with square leaded panes and three-light casements on the ground floor below wooden lintels. To the left, there are double doors leading to the barn, and the entrance to the dwelling is located on the right return elevation.
