Description
The gabled wing on the left, along with the gate piers, gates, mounting block, and abutting walls, is located on the north side of Binham Farmhouse. This structure dates from the 18th century and is primarily constructed from blue lias random rubble with a slate roof. It forms the single-storey south side of the forecourt to Binham Farmhouse. The wall is made of squared and coursed blue lias with hit and miss coping that returns to the farmhouse. There are a pair of square gate piers topped with Bath stone moulded caps and ball finials. The double gates are made of wrought iron with spear-headed uprights that sweep down to the center. The mounting block is positioned to the right of the gate. This building is primarily listed for its group value with Binham Farmhouse.
