Description

No. 14 Chamberlain Street is a mid-19th century house situated at the end of a row. The exterior is rendered with stone dressings and has a Welsh slate roof punctuated by coped gables and brick chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high with attics, arranged over three bays. A plinth and keyed west quoin are present, along with dentilled eaves. The windows are plain sash windows, housed within exposed sash boxes in plain openings, with paired windows to the outer bays. The entrance is in the second bay, featuring a four-panel door topped by a rectangular, leaded fanlight, set within a stone surround incorporating Doric pilasters, a plain entablature, and a flat moulded hood. Three flat-roofed dormers with two-light, small-pane casement windows are set into the roof. The west gable is plain and features a rear extension. The interior was not inspected.
