Description
The garden building located to the south-west of Blake Gardens in Bridgwater is a small structure dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish-bond brick and features a lean-to pantile roof with a square plan. The building is single-storey and has a two-window range, with a high parapet that obscures the roof. It likely houses a sluice-gate mechanism and showcases fine gauged brick arches, including a semi-elliptical arch over the planked door and flat arches above blocked openings on either side. Although simple in design, this building contributes to the character of the garden and predates the garden's acquisition by the Corporation in 1898.
