Description
No. 7 Dampiet Street is a house from the early 19th century. It is built of Flemish bond brick and features a shallow pitched slate roof that connects with No. 9 to the right. The house has brick stacks positioned to the left of the center and on the right party wall. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a four-window range. The windows are topped with flat gauged brick arches, and the three windows on the right create a symmetrical appearance. The entrance consists of a six-panel door with a semicircular overlight, set within a doorcase that has pilasters and an open pediment. Above the door, there is a six-over-six pane sash window, flanked by two ten-over-ten pane sashes. The windows beside the door each have three rows of five panes. On the far left, there is a tall gauged brick elliptical arch that once served as a carriage entrance, now fitted with planked 20th-century doors and an eight-over-eight pane sash window above. The interior has not been inspected.
