Description

Unity House is a mid-19th century house, now serving as Labour Party Headquarters. The construction utilizes Flemish-bond Fletton brick, with stone stepped voussoirs, cills, and a doorcase. It features a pantile roof and a double-depth plan with a rear extension. The building is three storeys high and exhibits a symmetrical three-window front. The second floor has bracketed eaves above 3/6-pane sash windows, while the lower floors feature 6/6-pane sashes. A classical style doorcase incorporates pilasters, a cornice, and a blocking course. The rear elevation includes 6/9-pane sash windows to the first floor, and a full-width, single-storey extension to the ground floor, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The interior remains uninspected. Unity House was built after the adjoining property, No. 7.
