Description
A garden house with a stable and garden wall, dating from 1792 with early 20th-century additions, likely designed by Rev Thomas Beaumont. The building is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features hipped and gabled plain tile roofs, coped gables, and crenellated parapets. A single ridge stack is also present. The architectural style is Gothick.
The garden front has a glasshouse to the left, followed by a pointed doorway. The main stepped gable is punctuated by three round-headed blank recesses above a sash window. A further pointed doorway is visible in the return angle. Flanking buttressed garden walls, approximately 75 metres long, incorporate two brick piers with slab caps and a late 19th-century wrought iron gate.
The west side includes a 20th-century addition with two casement windows. A doorway, garage door, and a blocked pointed opening are also present, alongside two casements further north.
