Description
The Old Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse, likely built in the 18th century. It features roughly cut and squared ham stone, with a thatched roof that has stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks at the ends and in the middle. The building has an 'L' shape, stands two storeys high, and consists of four bays. It has three-light horizontal-bar casement windows with timber lintels on both levels. On the ground floor of bay three, there is a flush-panelled door set in a heavy frame within a rendered recess, topped by a moulded timber hood supported by wrought-iron brackets. The north gable includes a single-light and a two-light stair window, both positioned at mezzanine level. There is also a late 19th-century extension at the rear, which has a Welsh slated roof and segmental-arched brick-lined openings. The interior has not been seen.
