Description
This cottage, located 2 meters north of Gants Mill House, dates from the 18th century and has been modified over time. It is constructed of local stone rubble and features a plain clay tile hipped roof with a brick chimney stack. The building has a rectangular plan with chamfered corners, stands two stories tall, and consists of two bays, with a single-story extension at the rear. The cottage has 20th-century casement windows and a 19th-century boarded door set in a segmental arched opening with a gauged brick head. There is a former doorway on the northwest side that has been blocked, and one early wood frame two-light window in the north wall has leaded lights and an iron opening casement. The interior has not been seen. The cottage is primarily noted for its group value with nearby structures.
