Description
This is an 18th century or earlier cottage, part of a row. It is constructed from ham stone, cut and squared, with a thatched roof. The north gable has a stepped coped finish, while the south side is plain. Brick chimney stacks are located at the ends and in between the bays. The cottage has two storeys and three bays. It features horizontal bar casement windows of an earlier pattern, with three lights. The lower bay one originally had a larger opening, likely a shop window, which is now partly blocked. A four-panel door is located between bays one and two, leading up five steps and sheltered by a timber hood supported by console brackets. Attached to the south gable is a two-storey extension with a plain tile roof and garage doors, which is not considered to be of particular interest. The interior has not been inspected.
