Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located about 8 meters south of the nave of the Church of St Edward King and Martyr in Goathurst. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of dressed stone. The tomb is partially buried and has an oblong shape with raised panels on the north and south sides, although the inscriptions are largely obscured by plant growth. The ends of the chest are canted, and it features a hipped slab top with canted ends.
