Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard, 18 metres south of the south chapel of the Church of St Mary. The tomb is dated 1727 on the south panel, although it may be older. It is made of dressed stone, with a plinth that is buried. The chest features fluted corner pilasters and has recessed panels on each side, although the panel on the north side is badly decayed. It has a moulded cornice and a flat entablature, topped with a massive hipped slab that has a moulded lower edge. Most of the inscriptions on the tomb are significantly decayed.
