Description
The gate and gate piers, located about 20 metres west of Steyning Manor, date from the mid-19th century and are made of cast iron. The gate piers are octagonal in shape, featuring trefoil-headed recessed panels and octagonal moulded caps, standing approximately 1.75 metres high. The gate itself consists of horizontal bars and includes a pair of heraldic shields with decorative surrounds and radiating bars, topped with crests. This structure is primarily listed for its group value with Steyning Manor.
