Description
The south boundary wall of the churchyard, which runs west from the east entrance of the Church of St Andrew, is of medieval origin. It is constructed from squared and coursed blue lias stone, with flat coping stones in some areas. The wall stands approximately 2.2 meters high at the west end and rises to about 3.4 meters at the east end, where it forms the rear wall of the shelter sheds belonging to Priory Farm (which are not included in the listing). A section of the wall at the west end has been partially demolished, although some stone remains on site as of September 1983. The wall is primarily listed for its group value with St Andrew's Church and for its historic interest.
