Description
The gate piers located approximately 10 metres from the east corner of Stadbury Manor are likely from the 18th century. They are constructed from slate-stone and granite, featuring wrought iron gates. The pair of large piers measures about 1000 mm by 1200 mm and stands 2 metres high, topped with moulded capping and large granite balls on an ogee base, along with steps. The decorative wrought iron gates are no longer used for entry to Stadbury Manor, but they are believed to have served as an earlier entry point.
