Description

Wales Bridge is a road bridge over the River Cam, possibly dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from local grey lias stone that has been cut and squared. The bridge features a pair of semi-circular arches that spring from the water line, with a double row of voussoirs, where the lower order is slightly recessed. On the east side, there is an angled cutwater. The road has a humpbacked profile and is topped with a gently arched plain parapet, which extends at the northwest corner.
