Description

This is a 19th-century milepost located on the east side of Bristol Road in Ashwick. It is made of cast iron and features a canted top with a V-shaped section. The right side of the milepost indicates "Bristol 18," while the left side shows "Shepton Mallet 2," and the top displays "Bath 15." This milepost is part of the Shepton Mallet Turnpike Trust.
