Description
Sandbrook Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the early 19th century, with possible earlier elements included in its construction. It is built from local lias stone that is cut and squared, and features double Roman clay tile roofs that sit between stepped coped gables, along with brick chimney stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and a three-bay south elevation. The windows are sash style with 16 panes, set in plain openings beneath stone lintels. The central bay features a four-fielded-panel door that is part glazed, also in a plain opening. There is a lean-to structure against the west gable that is rendered and colourwashed, and a short wing wall with a gate at the east gable. Inside, the farmhouse has a general Regency character, highlighted by stone flag floors and six-panel doors.
