Description
Foxcombe Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of Cary stone that is cut and squared, with Doulting stone dressings, and features a Welsh slate roof with overhung gables. The building has brick chimney stacks at both ends and in the middle.
The farmhouse stands two storeys high with an attic and consists of four bays, with the first bay being of a different but still early construction. Plain pilasters are present at each end of the main section. The windows are ovolo-moulded with mullions and labels, featuring rectangular leaded panes and iron-framed opening lights. All windows are three-light, except for the lower bays two and four, which are four-light. The lower bay three has a six-panelled door with glazed toplights, set into an open stone porch supported by slim Doric columns and pilasters, topped with a simple entablature and a pitched coped gable.
There is a single-storey lean-to against the south gable and another against the north, both located behind a raked parapet. High in the north gable, there is a blocked attic window. The interior has not been seen.
