Description

The Stores is a cottage dated 1734, built from locally sourced stone that has been cut and squared. It features a double Roman clay tile roof with coped gables and brick chimney stacks at either end. The building is two storeys high and has two bays. It includes small pane, two-light casement windows set beneath timber lintels. Between the bays, there is a plain ashlar surround to the doorway, which has a boarded door topped by a moulded stone flat hood supported by shaped brackets. A plaque displaying the date 1734 is positioned above the doorway. Additionally, there is a small one-storey shop extension on the west gable. The interior has not been seen.
