Description
Sunnyholme is a cottage that possibly dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed of local stone that is cut and squared, with ashlar dressings, and features a thatched roof with plain gables. The building has a brick chimney stack and stands two storeys high with two bays, along with a 1980s extension on the west gable.
The cottage has a three-light hollow chamfer mullioned window without a label in the lower bay of the first bay, and a two-light plain chamfer mullioned window without a label in the second bay. Above these, there are two two-light casement windows. Between the bays, there is a cambered arched doorway with a boarded door. The east gable includes two small chamfered rectangular stairlights and metal tie bars.
Inside, there is a cambered arched fireplace located in the original west gable, along with a stop and run-out chamfered crossbeam.
