Description
The churchyard cross, located 14 metres south of the south porch of the Church of St Mary, is likely from the 15th century and was restored in 1895. It is made of dressed stone and features four octagonal steps leading to the calvary, with the lowest step being benched. At the top, there is a plain octagonal socket. The shaft, dating from 1895, is topped with an abacus that has figures of saints in niches, along with a large carved crucifix, as noted by Pooley in "Old Crosses of Somerset" from 1877.
