Description

This stable, dating from the 18th century, is located 5 metres east of the Coach House and Stable at Rowley Grange. It is constructed of random rubble Doulting stone, featuring ashlar quoins, jambs, and a lintel. The roof is gabled, covered with triple Roman clay tiles and stone ridge tiles, and includes copings and finials. The stable has a single-storey, vertically boarded door that is divided into two parts, set in the gable end, with a vertical ventilation slit opening above, which is now glazed. The stable is included mainly for its group value with Rowley Grange and the Coach House and Stable.
