Watercress Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in Norton St. Philip, near Farleigh Hungerford. The cottage is built of coursed rubble Doulting stone, with squared quoins, and some parts are now rendered. It has a thatched, gabled roof with a quarter-hip on the southwest end and hipped dormers. The cottage follows an ā€˜L’ plan and features a central chimney stack. Windows have stone mullions and 1-, 2- and 3-lights, fitted with 19th-century timber casements containing two panes of glass. A 6-panel door is set within a chamfered moulded stone frame and has a 20th-century precast concrete hood.
