Description
The Hungerford Arms is a public house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of random rubble Doulting stone with faced quoins and features a stone slate gabled roof. The building has ashlar chimney stacks in two stages with moulded caps. It has a rectangular plan over two storeys and a four-window frontage, with entrances located between the first and second windows, and between the second and third windows. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows set in ashlar stone surrounds with stone cills. The ground floor features three-light moulded stone mullioned windows with dripmoulds and metal casements. The doors are vertical boarded and lapped, with edge moulded stone hood slabs supported on shaped brackets.
