Description

Rowley Cottage is a 17th-century cottage dated 1703, constructed from rubble Doulting stone and topped with a stone slate roof featuring gables and stone copings. The building has a two-storey, three-window front with a central entrance that includes a square-headed chamfered stone door frame, which holds a later four-panel door. The cottage features two-light casement windows set in moulded stone mullions with dripmoulds and leaded lights. A recessed date stone with the incised lettering "1703" is also present. On the left gable wall, there is a protrusion that suggests an oven, accompanied by a two-stage buttress.
