Description
The Toll House, now a residential property, was built between 1820 and 1840. It features painted Flemish-bond brickwork, with stone coping along the parapet, a cornice, and a string course. The hipped roof is covered with plain tiles and has two brick stacks on either side of the entrance. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, presenting a symmetrical three-window facade. The first floor has flat gauged brick arches above 2-light casement windows with margin panes, where the central panes are Tudor-arched. The ground floor windows also have gauged Tudor arches, with each light framed in a Tudor-arched style. A six-panel door is located beneath a hood supported by ornate cast-iron brackets, and there is a string course separating the two floors. The interior has not been inspected.
