Description
Skinners Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 17th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble that is roughly coursed, with Ham stone dressings. The roof is uneven and covered with plain clay tiles, which have replaced the original thatch. The building is two stories tall and has three bays, with the middle bay being higher and gabled.
The ground floor features hollow-chamfered mullioned windows with rectangular leaded panes. The windows in the first bay may date from the 19th century, while the third bay has a label above its window. The second bay contains a flat-headed moulded doorway, with a three-light mullioned window above it. On either side of the doorway are simple wooden casements, with the casement in the first bay being leaded and older. There is an outshut at the rear of the building. The interior has not been seen.
To the west is No. 1, which has been significantly altered and is not of special interest, while to the east are Nos. 3 and 4, which are also listed.
