Description
Burton Farmhouse is a farmhouse that possibly dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of local stone rubble that is roughly coursed, with Ham stone used for the quoins and lintels. The roof is made of double Roman clay tiles with plain verges, and there are brick chimney stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and three bays, featuring three-light casement windows that have a single horizontal glazing bar. The ground floor windows are set under massive stone lintels, while those on the first floor are positioned beneath exposed timbers. A central porch, added in the late 20th century, is made of stone and tiles and protects a late 20th-century door. There is a flat-roofed two-storey extension at the rear. The interior has not been seen.
