Description

Burton Farmhouse is likely an 18th-century former farmhouse with an adjoining outbuilding. The house is constructed of Ham stone, squared to near ashlar, with exposed timber lintels, and has a thatched roof with coped gables and end chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and three bays wide, featuring casement windows with horizontal glazing bars; three in the upper bays, and two in the lower bays. The main entrance is at the rear. The interior has not been inspected. To the east of the farmhouse is an outbuilding of rubble and thatch, with a rendered bay featuring a timber frame and brick infill. It contains a variety of timber casement windows and plain double doors. The adjoining outbuilding to the east is known as End House and is separately listed.
