Description
Goss House is a house built in 1810 by William Goss. It has a smooth rendered and colorwashed exterior, with wide bracketed eaves and a shallow pantile roof featuring coped verges and brick stacks. The house has a symmetrical frontage and consists of two storeys with three bays. It features tripartite sash windows with 4:8:4 lights, and fixed side-lights in narrow and shallow canted bays that rise to the eaves. The first-floor center window matches this style and is positioned directly above the door opening, which is supported by a splayed and panelled entablature and topped with an attached shallow hood, creating the appearance of an oriel window. The entrance includes a recessed six-panelled door with decorative panelled reveals and surround.
