Description

Keepers is an 18th-century cottage with later modifications. It is built of local stone, squared and coursed, with a hipped thatched roof and a brick chimney stack in the centre. The two-storey cottage has an attic and a four-bay east-facing entrance facade with irregular window placement. A thatched lean-to porch is situated in bay three. The windows are predominantly casements; most are of two lights with small panes, although the upper window in bay one is different. Two dormer windows are present, the right-hand one having an ovolo-moulded wooden frame. A 20th-century lean-to addition extends from the north side. The interior is unremarkable, but features an open fireplace with a plain chamfered beam in the south room on the ground floor.
