Description

This is an 18th-century milestone located at National Grid Reference ST 3321 0742. It is made of granite and stands approximately 350 millimeters high. The milestone features a semi-circular head with incised lettering that is painted, reading "Chard 1 Winsham 3," as noted in Bentley and Murles' work on Somerset Roads from 1985.
