Description
Milestone dating from the late 18th century, made of granite. It is a semi-circular headed monolithic slab, set into the ground with about 400 millimeters exposed. The slab is inscribed with 'Chard to Taunton 6'. This milestone is located on the Chard to Taunton road, which was turnpiked in 1785.
