Farmhouse, now house. Late C17. MATERIALS: coursed limestone rubble with Ham Hill stone dressings, a steep pitched slate roof, stepped stone copings and brick stacks to gable ends. PLAN: 3-unit central-entry plan with C19 rear wing to the left. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. All windows have hollow-moulded stone mullions, 2-light casements to the first-floor at eaves-level, and 3-light to the ground-floor, under label moulds. The C18 six-panel door, planked at the back and glazed to the top, is under a wooden lintel. The right of the rear wing has a flat stone porch to the entrance facing the former farmyard. INTERIOR: An open fireplace with a chamfered wooden lintel to the rear wall of the rear wing, is said to have had a stairs to the right corner; an open fireplace to the left gable end is square, with roll-moulding to the edge. Each room has a chamfered cross-beam. 4 collar trusses with trenched purlins, jointed at the main rafters. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached to the house and fronting the long garden is a limestone rubble plinth supporting spearhead railings; these have elaborate scroll supports and double gates to the centre.
