Description

Winsors Farmhouse is a late 16th to early 17th century farmhouse, enlarged in the 17th century. It is constructed of roughcast over random rubble, with a steeply pitched pantiled roof and overhanging eaves. Brick stacks are located on the gable ends. The plan originally comprised three cells, with a North wing addition facing the road. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has four bays. It contains C19 three-light leaded casement windows, a larger three-light casement with glazing bars to the left of the entrance, a two-light window to the right, and another three-light window beyond. A partially glazed door is set within a pantiled hipped porch. The interior features chamfered beams with stops, and the remains of a plank and muntin partition where it joins the North wing. A winder staircase is located to the right of a modern grate at the West end, and the roof retains collar and principal rafters.
