Description

This building is a house and shop located 12 metres north west of Langport Post Office, dating from the later 19th century. It features red brickwork in Flemish bond and has a Welsh slate roof with a shallow pitch, lacking a chimney stack. The structure is two storeys high with two bays. The first bay has an early 20th-century shop window consisting of two lights and a simple fascia above. The second bay includes a segmental arched doorway with a gauged brick arch and keystone, a plain fanlight, and a door styled with 18th-century fielded panels. Above the doorway, there are 12-pane sash windows set in plain openings with rubbed brick flat arches. The interior has not been seen. This building is integral with the corner premises on Cheapside and Herald House.
