Description
No 46 High Street is a house located at the end of a row, likely built in the 19th century. It is constructed from roughly cut and squared ham stone and features a double Roman clay tile roof with an ornamental terra-cotta ridge. The roof continues to the east and has a high stepped coped gable to the west, indicating it may have originally had thatch. There are brick chimney stacks.
The house has two storeys and three bays. The plinth includes a 4-pane sash window in the first bay above and a brick-lined opening with a casement window below. The first floor of bays two and three has 12-pane sash windows, while the ground floor features 16-pane sash windows. Between the first and second bays, there is a 19th-century part-glazed door in a simple opening under a timber lintel. The interior has not been seen. Attached to the west side are Nos 47 and 48.
