Description

Nos 56 and 58 High Street are a pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from local stone that has been cut and squared, topped with a Welsh slate roof featuring a plain gable and abutment, and have brick chimney stacks. The buildings are two storeys high with irregular window arrangements. On the ground floor, there are three 16-pane sash windows in plain openings under stone lintels. Above these, there are four matching 12-pane sash windows. Between the ground floor windows, there are six-panelled doors set in recesses with coffer-panelled reveals, each topped with plain fanlights. The interiors have not been seen.
