Description

This gateway, dating from 1912 to 1913, stands between the East and West blocks of Redlynch Park House. It is likely the work of Sir Edwin Lutyens and is constructed from Doulting stone with wrought iron gates. The gateway features a semi-circular arch framed by a Gibbsian surround composed of flat pilasters topped with an open pediment, along with ramped abutments. A good pair of decorative wrought iron gates are also present. The gateway exemplifies the high quality renovations undertaken in 1913 and contributes positively to its setting.
