Description

The retaining wall and kitchen garden enclosing walls at Redlynch Park House date from the 18th century, with alterations made in the early 20th century. The retaining wall, approximately 60 metres long and averaging 3.75 metres high, is constructed of local stone rubble at its base, with upper courses in red brick and a moulded stone coping. It aligns with the West Block of the house and features a recess containing a semi-circular arch and a stone trough fed by a spring. The kitchen garden enclosing walls are all red brick and stand approximately 3 metres high, with matching interior dividing walls that separate the west garden, a central pond, and the Orangery.
