Description

No. 25 Silver Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century, with a rear workshop range added in the late 19th century. The shop front is finished in stucco and features a double-pitch pantile roof, stepped stone copings, and brick stacks at the gable ends. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range.

On the first floor, there are 6/6-pane sash windows set in forward frames. The ground floor includes a 20th-century shop to the right, which has a moulded cornice above the fascia, and to the left, there is a carriage entrance with a segmental arch made of Ham Hill stone. The left side of the building is constructed from limestone rubble. The carriageway leads to a courtyard, and attached to the southwest corner of the building is a two-storey wing, also made of limestone rubble, featuring oak lintels above 20th-century windows and access to the first floor via a 20th-century staircase. The interior has not been inspected.
