Description
No. 31 Silver Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It was built in the early 19th century, with some alterations around 1900. The building is constructed from Ham Hill stone ashlar and features a slate roof with stepped stone coping and brick stacks at the gable ends, which has been truncated on the left side. It has two storeys and a symmetrical two-window arrangement. The first-floor windows have keystones above 20th-century plate glass with top vents, and there is a round-arch blind window painted white between them. The ground-floor shop has a central door that is well set back, flanked by 20th-century plate glass windows, and features a late 19th-century moulded fascia supported by stone brackets. The interior has not been inspected.
