Grey Lodge

Grey Lodge is a lodge to Hatch Park, built in the early 19th century and likely altered in the mid-19th century. The south front features random rubble lias and Ham stone, while the east front is made of squared and coursed blue lias. The roof is decorated with patterned clay tiles and has decorative ridge tiles, with a hipped west end. The building has a two-cell plan, set gable end to the road, with the south front overlooking the entrance to Hatch Park, which is not included in the listing.

In Tudor style, the south front is one and a half storeys high, with two bays. It has two-light arched head casements topped with painted half-timbered gables that project through the eaves. The ground floor has a 20th-century window on the left and a four-light trefoil-headed casement with foiled circles above on the right. The right return (east) gable end breaks forward in the centre, featuring a painted half-timbered gable with a lunette and a two-light arched head casement on the ground floor. The entrance is located on the north front, which has a four-centred arch panel door and a cantilevered hood porch supported by brackets, with weatherboarded infill to the right. Overall, Grey Lodge forms a picturesque group.
