Description
The barn on the west side of the farmyard at Higher Hill Farm is a 18th-century threshing barn and grain store, currently used as an agricultural store. It is constructed from coursed and squared blue lias stone and features a steeply pitched corrugated-iron roof. The interior walls are lined with Flemish bond brickwork. The barn is single storey with an 8 bay interior and has a rectangular plan. The northeast elevation includes two projecting carriageways with single-pitched roofs and recessed paired plank doors, along with corresponding doors at the rear, one of which also has a projecting carriageway. The interior is designed with an aisled construction.
