Description

The former school, now disused, was built in 1887 and is constructed from Doulting ashlar with a slate roof and coped verges. It features ashlar end stacks arranged in groups of three and is part of a row designed in the Tudoresque style. The building is one storey high and has three bays, each with tall stone mullion and transom windows that have diamond leaded lights and labels above. Below the left two openings is a fielded rectangular stone panel. There are two door openings with chamfered stone surrounds; the right door is located directly beneath a window opening, while the left door is a three-panelled design and the right door is a six-panelled design. Above the left door opening is a carved medallion featuring a relief of Queen Victoria's head and scroll lettering, while the right side has an inset panel with a Talbot.
