Former School, Sinclair's Hill

The former school on Sinclair's Hill dates from the earlier to mid 19th century and features a single storey with an attic, designed in the Cotswold Tudor style. It has a rectangular plan with four bays across the front and one bay deep. The building is constructed from roughly squared and snecked sandstone, with deeply chamfered edges and ashlar dressings, including stone mullions.

The entrance elevation has four bays, with a recessed bay on the outer left that contains a bipartite window. The central bays feature tripartite windows flanking a slightly advanced wallhead stack with a shouldered design. To the right, there is a broad gabled bay with a door that has a 4-centre arch, a hoodmould, and a blank tablet above it.

On the southwest elevation, there is a small window to the left and a large tripartite window at the center, which has a small gablehead light above. The northeast elevation includes a bipartite window. The rear elevation has three tripartite windows on the main block, along with a door in the recessed bay to the right.

The windows are fitted with timber lying-pane glazing in sash and case style. The roof is covered with slate, featuring bands of fishscale slates, sawtooth coped skews, and bracketed skewputts. A stone ridge with metal ventilators is present, along with modern Velux rooflights added to the rear.

The interior was not seen in 1997.
